
High-Performance Quantum Technology Leader

Job Overview:
The Precision Measurement Group at the Institute for Photonics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to support its activities.
This award-winning team has demonstrated success in developing high-performance quantum technologies. The research group consists of 25 diverse individuals, including physicists and engineers, working remotely with a wide range of skillsets.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring tasks are achieved on schedule and budget while collaborating closely with industry partners to commercialize group outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a large team with autonomy and vision while ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Foster strong relationships across diverse stakeholders, collaborating to remove barriers, influence outcomes, and deliver shared objectives.
- Manage significant budgets and intellectual property, focusing on planning, resource allocation, and prioritization to meet deadlines and achieve results.
- Develop executive reports and committee papers, and manage sensitive staffing and HR issues with sound judgment.
Requirements:
- Qualifications in management, project management, business or administration, along with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
- Desirable – experience working in a technical environment or qualifications in a technical field.
