Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Unilever's North Rocks factory. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in driving process improvements and eliminating waste to achieve a World Class standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Eliminate waste and losses according to the Unilever Manufacturing System (UMS) prioritization process using Business Priority and Cost Deployment (BPCD), Focus Improvement (FI), Autonomous Maintenance (AM), and Planned Maintenance (PM) pillar tools and methodologies.
  • Lead prioritization of losses and recommend focus areas for the department.
  • Directly responsible for AM and FI pillars in the department.
  • Implement Run to Standard (R2S) processes, including data collection and analysis, prioritization of losses, problem-solving, Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), and Autonomous Maintenance activities definition and machine settings.
  • Train line crews on technical standards and restoration of basic conditions, and upskill them in AM and FI tools to ensure they are equipped with the right abilities.
  • Adhere to and follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) hygiene standards.
  • Support Safety, Hygiene, GMP, and Quality initiatives in the department.
  • Drive 5S standards.
Requirements
  • Experience in FMCG manufacturing as a Process or Reliability Engineer for a minimum of 2 years, with a strong background in training and coaching line crews.
  • Unilever Manufacturing System/World Class Manufacturing (UMS/WCM) or similar lean/TPM methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Focus Improvement (FI).
  • Business acumen and financial tools, understanding of the Master Plan, factory priorities, and how manufacturing performance correlates with finance KPIs and Business Groups (BGs) targets.
  • Engineering degree preferred.
  • Potentially a development role for a technician, technical operator, or leading hand with a good understanding of R2S/Manex methodologies and strong leadership/coaching skills.
