Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Process Engineer to join our team at our global headquarters in Macquarie University. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing stable and reliable manufacturing processes, supporting supply chain and manufacturing improvement projects, and ensuring we have the capabilities to manufacture our increasing volumes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safe, scalable, stable, and robust manufacturing processes across the manufacturing network for new and commercially available products.
  • Support the supply chain and R&D group project execution by developing and implementing manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and associated documents comply with Cochlear's Quality Management System and international regulations.
  • Meet manufacturing strategy by relocating or duplicating processes across the manufacturing network.
  • Deliver complex processes in line with project objectives, targets, and timelines within the area of expertise.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience in a similar engineering role within a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience in process development or mechanical design.
  • Experience in developing and introducing manufacturing processes and products internally or at an external supplier.
  • Experience in risk management methodology.
  • Experience in validation and verification of manufacturing processes.
