The Challenge Ahead

As a Programme Manager - Sustainable Packaging, you'll lead the charge in delivering 100% recycle-ready packaging across our branded product portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to step into a highly visible role with real impact.

You'll oversee the management of project plans, budgets, risks, and resources across multiple packaging initiatives. You'll also partner with internal teams and external suppliers to drive packaging innovation and sustainable design.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Fonterra Oceania's Sustainable Packaging Programme, with a focus on delivering 100% recycle-ready packaging
  • Manage project plans, budgets, risks, and resources across multiple packaging initiatives
  • Partner with internal teams and external suppliers to drive packaging innovation and sustainable design
  • Report progress to senior leaders and manage programme governance
  • Build capability across the business in sustainable packaging practices
  • Lead communications and reporting on the programme's progress internally and externally

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone with a strong technical grounding in food manufacturing or packaging technology, who has experience managing large programmes or complex projects.

They'll be a natural collaborator, comfortable navigating complexity, influencing a wide range of stakeholders, and managing multiple moving parts to deliver results.
