Fruit and Vegetable Department Leader
The Fruit and Vegetable department is seeking an experienced leader to oversee daily operations, ensuring high-quality produce meets customer demand.
About the Role:
- Manage a team of staff, including scheduling, training, and ongoing support.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the department.
- Monitor stock levels, perform regular checks, and place orders with suppliers to minimise waste.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure quality produce at competitive prices.
- Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Track and analyse sales data to develop strategies for growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food safety regulations.
About You:
- A hands-on leader with experience in produce management or a similar retail environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to foster a positive team culture.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management, stock rotation, and waste reduction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers.
- An understanding of health, safety, and food safety regulations, always ensuring compliance.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
