Remote Payroll Specialist Job Opportunity

This role offers a unique chance to work in a fully remote payroll environment.

  • Deliver and support comprehensive professional services in the processing of fortnightly payrolls.
  • Collaborate closely with acquired practices to understand their current payroll processes and penalty structures.
  • Work with the payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate delivery of payroll data and reports.
  • Test payroll awards, building compliance and governance controls.
  • Process fortnightly and ad-hoc payrolls for a growing workforce, including new joiners, adjustments, leave tracking, processing, and reporting.
  • Perform other payroll-related tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fortnightly payroll processing and reporting.
  • Managing payroll processes and penalty structures across multiple locations.
  • Collaboration with the payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate delivery of payroll data and reports.
  • Development and implementation of compliance and governance controls for payroll awards.
  • Supporting employees with payroll-related queries and issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous payroll experience in an end-to-end role is essential.
  • Extensive experience of managing data through the use of MS Excel and queries through Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Australian payroll across all states.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support all stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work to set timescales.
  • Problem-solving & advising employees on queries in a professional manner.
  • High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
