About Electrical Estimating Role
Electrical estimators play a pivotal role in leading and supporting bids from concept to completion.
- They ensure tenders are managed efficiently, meeting deadlines and quality standards, and contribute to developing winning strategies for high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead bid preparation, ensuring timely delivery for senior management review.
- Manage relationships with sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants to secure competitive pricing and value.
- Explore and propose creative value engineering opportunities to enhance bid competitiveness.
- Mentor junior team members to foster professional growth.
- Develop tender strategies and manage all tender deliverables.
- Identify and document project risks, ensuring they are accounted for in the tender process.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

- Proficiency with estimating software such as Pronamics Expert or similar platforms.
- Strong ability to interpret and analyse contractual documents, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Extensive knowledge of contract tendering procedures and best practices.
