About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at Elite Cabling Solutions WA, based in Malaga, WA 6090. This full-time role will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of electrical projects, ensuring the long-term success and growth of our business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to prepare detailed cost estimates
  2. Sourcing and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes to optimise project costs
  3. Collaborating with the project management team to ensure estimates are aligned with budgets and timelines
  4. Maintaining a comprehensive database of historical project data, pricing, and labour costs
  5. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  6. Providing input and recommendations on project feasibility and profitability
  7. Preparing and submitting tenders and proposals to clients

What we're looking for

  1. Proven track record as an Electrical Estimator, with a preferred minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the electrical contracting industry
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in electrical estimating is required
  3. Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, labour, and construction methods
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  5. Proficient in the use of estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
  6. Experience with specialised estimating software is required
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  8. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  9. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field would be an advantage
  10. Electrical trade certificate is required for this estimator role
  11. Australian work rights are required for this position
  12. Commercial electrical project experience is mandatory
