Job Title: Group Facilitator

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced facilitator to lead group sessions that promote self-exploration, resilience, and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will create a safe, welcoming, and non-stigmatising environment where individuals can share their experiences and develop life skills.

The role involves delivering group activities that focus on recovery, social connections, and community building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and facilitate groups and workshops to build life skills, develop social connections, and focus on recovery.
  • Cultivate a trusting and respectful space where individuals feel secure enough to share their experiences.
  • Structure group agendas, manage the flow of conversation, and provide deeper insights.
  • Provide consistency and predictability by maintaining clear rules, consistent responses, and defined boundaries for the group.
  • Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a coordinated response to client goals.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Peer Work, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related fields.
  • Experience in design, facilitation, and delivery of groups and workshops, education, and training.
  • Proven experience working with people with mental health challenges and complex needs.
  • Strong communication skills to engage members and foster a collaborative environment.
