Job Description

This role involves delivering comprehensive mental health care to the regional community of Temora and surrounds. As a Community Mental Health Clinician, you will be working closely with families and carers to provide holistic, person-centred and trauma-informed care to people with complex mental health needs.

You will be responsible for assessing, planning and delivering mental health care to adults with acute, complex or high needs who may be difficult to engage in effective treatment and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans that meet the unique needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated and coordinated service models.
  • Work closely with families and carers to provide education and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve access to mental health services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant Australian qualification as a Counsellor, Psychologist, Social Worker or Registered Nurse, or have a minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making skills.
