Practice Leader - National Superannuation and Disability Insurance Team

This is a key role that supports the Head of Practice in achieving business-unit strategy and delivering operational, financial, client, and people targets. The successful candidate will have 10+ years of post-admission experience as a Personal Injury Lawyer, preferably in Superannuation.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the development of legal expertise and client care within the team.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports to develop leadership and technical capability.
  • Promote and ensure team behaviors align with firm values.
  • Manage complex file loads and achieve high client conversion results.
  • Collaborate with others to identify process efficiencies and practice management improvements.

Requirements:

  • Proven post-admission experience (10+ PAE) as a Personal Injury Lawyer (preferably in Superannuation).
  • Sound legal technical experience.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all levels of staff.
  • Prior experience leading and motivating legal professionals.
  • Taking a systematic and structured approach to work.
  • Ability to show initiative.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Sound technical and functional skills to support others.
  • A team player.
