About the Opportunity

We have an exciting career opportunity available for an Occupational Health & Hygiene Manager to join our fast-paced project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing governance for all occupational health and hygiene activities associated with the systematic assessment and management of occupational health risks.

Employed by Webuild, the role on offer is a full-time position based at our Integrated Project Office (IPO) in St Marys or Western Sydney Project Office (WSPO) in Orchard Hills with travel to sites along the alignment required.

This is an ideal next step opportunity for someone who has a strong background in occupational hygiene and meets the required skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting health risk assessments and creating health management plans
  • Significant experience and skills in the operation and execution of industry-related equipment e.g., fibre, RCS, dust, welding fume, volatile organic compound and hazardous material sampling
  • Conducting noise surveys and noise dosimetry, and project management skills – planning, preparing and executing hygiene monitoring programs and writing/reviewing hygiene-related reports
  • Experience in researching occupational hygiene issues and providing pragmatic solutions to our team
  • Maintaining a working relationship with the client in regards to Occupational Health and Hygiene
Requirements
  • A postgraduate qualification relevant to Occupational Hygiene or ICertOH (other qualifications in science or a related discipline are desirable)
  • Recognised as a current Certified Occupational Hygienist by the AIOH (Mandatory)
  • Experience working on Sydney Metro projects (Desirable)
  • Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment (Desirable)
  • Full membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH)
  • High flexibility with working arrangements – regular site travel across the Western Sydney Airport Metro contract is required
