About the Role:

The Occupational Health Manager will be responsible for providing governance for all occupational health and hygiene activities associated with the systematic assessment and management of occupational health risks.

This role will be based primarily at St Marys or Orchard Hills, however regular site travel across the Western Sydney Airport Metro project is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting health risk assessments
  • Creating health management plans
  • Significant experience and skills in the operation and execution of industry-related equipment
  • Conducting noise surveys and noise dosimetry
  • Project management skills – planning, preparing and executing hygiene monitoring programs and writing/reviewing hygiene-related reports
  • Experience in researching occupational hygiene issues and providing pragmatic solutions
  • Planning, coordination and implementation of Occupational Health and Hygiene initiatives
  • Maintaining a working relationship with the client in regards to Occupational Health and Hygiene

Requirements:

  • A postgraduate qualification relevant to Occupational Hygiene or ICertOH
  • Recognised as a current Certified Occupational Hygienist by the AIOH
  • Full membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH)
  • High flexibility with working arrangements – regular site travel across the Western Sydney Airport Metro contract is required
  • A willingness to mentor a team of WHS professionals, site-based teams and frontline supervisors
  • Enthusiasm and a can-do attitude
  • Engagement and willing to contribute to a dynamic team
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong client relationship management skills
