About Compliance Analyst Roles

The purpose of a Compliance Analyst is to provide expert regulatory compliance advice and support to leadership teams, managers, and employees. This is achieved through the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of an organization's compliance framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing practical, risk-based regulatory compliance advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Performing assurance activities, reporting findings, seeking management responses, and monitoring management actions.
  • Facilitating incident management processes and supporting incident owners with investigations and remediation.
  • Developing, maintaining, and delivering internal compliance training programs.
  • Reviewing and signing off internal and external material to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Preparing and submitting timely and accurate external compliance reports to regulators and government departments.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Significant experience in highly regulated industries or similar compliance roles.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentational skills.
  • Influencing and collaboration skills with demonstrated capacity to manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to understand and interpret compliance instruments and translate complex requirements into concise advice.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 37301 - Compliance Management Systems.
  • Attention to detail and strong investigative, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
