At a prestigious K-12 co-educational school in West Sydney, we are seeking an experienced Director of Sports and Academic Development. This full-time position offers a 12-month appointment with the potential for permanency, commencing Term 4 2025.

About the Role
  • We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead our sports development program, driving student success and academic achievement through sport.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of sports in education and be able to develop and implement programs that enhance student outcomes.
  • With a focus on collaboration and teamwork, you will work closely with teachers, coaches, and students to create a supportive learning environment that fosters excellence in both academics and sports.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sports development programs that align with the school's strategic goals and values.
  • Work closely with teachers and coaches to integrate sports into the curriculum and enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with students, parents, and community stakeholders to promote the importance of sports in education.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sports development programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in education or a related field (Bachelor of Education, etc.).
  • Current accreditation from the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and the wider community.
  • Motivation and passion for working with young people, with a commitment to their academic and personal growth.
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility, with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
