Electrical Technician

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) and be part of a dynamic team.

The successful candidate will have experience in terminating and connecting electrical wiring, including electrical crimping. They will also possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The role involves:

  • Electrical Assembly: Installing electrical looms and components in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Electrical Testing: Conducting electrical testing, measurement, and fault finding to ensure system integrity and performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or Equivalent
  • The ability to dismantle, repair, replace, assemble, and fit engineering components
  • Skilled in precision electrical and electronic measurement
  • Experience in terminating and connecting electrical wiring, including electrical crimping
  • Exposure and experience in fault finding
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and forward-thinking
  • Ability to influence, motivate and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Continuing commitment to a Zero Harm workplace
