Job Title:

A Radio Communication Specialist is responsible for receiving and dispatching emergency calls in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate radio communication equipment to receive and respond to emergency calls
  2. Maintain situational awareness and make rapid decisions in crisis situations
  3. Collaborate effectively with team members under pressure
  4. Utilize keyboard and computer skills to prioritize tasks and manage workload
  5. Develop knowledge of law enforcement operations, services, and regional geography/demography
Selection Criteria:
  1. Proven experience in radio/telephone communication
  2. Ability to make sound judgments and exercise discretion in high-pressure situations
  3. Strong teamwork and communication skills
  4. Proficient keyboard and computer skills
  5. Capacity to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Pass a thorough background check to ensure suitability for the role
  • No serious criminal offenses or repeated serious offenses over any period
Training and Development:

Complete a comprehensive training program prior to engagement, encompassing classroom instruction and on-the-job training
