Community Reintegration Specialist
About the Role
We work with individuals who have been ordered to be supervised within their community by a court. This includes people on parole, as well as those under court and post-sentence supervision orders.
These individuals often face complex life experiences, having suffered physical and sexual abuse or lacked positive role models during their upbringing. Many have also experienced or witnessed substance abuse, leading to anti-social behaviors or self-protection strategies that may result in criminal actions.
As CCS staff, it is our responsibility to be positive influencers for these individuals as they strive to address their offending behaviors and create a better life for themselves within our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with individuals to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors.
- Develop and implement effective supervision plans to promote rehabilitation and community reintegration.
- Foster positive relationships with service users, promoting trust and empowerment.
Benefits:
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, while developing your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment. We are committed to providing ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure you have the tools needed to excel in this challenging yet rewarding role.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong ability to build rapport with diverse groups of people. You will also require a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and understanding, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our service users.
