The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) is Australia's authoritative source of health and welfare data and analysis.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our Health Insights division, comprising three key groups: Primary and Community Care & Information Standards Group, Health Systems & Performance Group, and Population Health Group.

This critical role plays a vital part in providing valuable evidence and insights into key issues affecting the health and welfare of Australians. As an Executive Director, you will lead and oversee the work of your team, driving strategic initiatives and building relationships with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of professionals in developing and implementing strategies for health insights
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and industry partners
  • Providing expert guidance on data management, analytical reporting, and statistical functions

To be successful in this role, you will require:
