We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in high voltage testing to fill this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive testing and commissioning of primary HV equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear.
- Conduct thorough secondary system testing, encompassing protection relays, control systems, and SCADA interfaces.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed technical reports to document findings and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and safety regulations to guarantee a safe working environment.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes that meet or exceed expectations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults in HV systems during commissioning and maintenance phases to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in high voltage testing (primary and secondary systems).
- Proficiency in using test equipment such as Omicron, Doble, and Megger.
- Strong understanding of protection schemes and relay coordination.
- Familiarity with Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS).
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills to effectively convey complex technical information to various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
