About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD candidate to join our team at The International Society for Bayesian Analysis as a Prestigious Scientia PhD Scholar. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on a prestigious project focused on developing novel statistical methods for analyzing panel data.

Project Overview

The project aims to develop innovative statistical methods for analyzing panel data, with a focus on health economics and changes in individuals' work and personal environments. The successful applicant will work closely with our team to design and implement novel statistical methods, exploiting the strengths of panel data to address important questions in health economics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop novel statistical methods for analyzing panel data
  • Apply these methods to real-world problems in health economics
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement research projects
  • Present research findings at international conferences and publish in top-tier journals

Supervisory Team

The successful applicant will be supervised by a team of experienced researchers, including Scientia Prof. Robert Kohn, Prof. Scott Sisson, Prof. Denzil Fiebig, and Prof. Denise Doiron.

What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive scholarship package, including a $50,000 stipend per annum, tuition fees, and access to a range of development opportunities. The successful applicant will also be affiliated with the Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for Mathematical and Statistical Frontiers (ACEMS).
