We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support our client's future growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering management accounts, including business cost centre cash forecasting and partnering with budget owners to ensure effective cost stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver management accounts, including business cost centre cash forecasting and partnering with budget owners to ensure effective cost stewardship;
  • Provide variance analysis with explanations of budget v/s actual performance;
  • Work with the CFO to manage the accounting of costs associated with business projects and associated companies, and optimize the allocation and charging thereof, compliant with relevant GST and income tax legislation;
  • Produce the monthly financial reporting suite and facilitate the monthly performance reviews of projects;
  • Prepare capital and operating expenditure cash budgets and forecasts;
  • Enhance cost control practices in the business;
  • Prepare project profit and loss statements and maintain management accounts;
  • Provide high-quality analytical support to inform business decisions;
  • Prepare weekly project dashboards, timesheet summaries, and evidence to support charging to and cost recovery from the client;
  • Be the first point of contact for budget and cash forecast queries from the entire business;
  • Manage the annual budget and forecast process and compare monthly actuals. Prepare monthly management reporting to management;
  • Provide support in internal controls and accounting software;
  • Monitor company cash flow;
Requirements
  • Qualified CA/CPA/CIMA or at least 2 years' experience, fully conversant with Australian IFRS and other Accounting Standards, and relevant Australian GST, payroll, and income tax legislation;
  • Value-focused financial professional with significant hands-on experience in performing high-quality accounting, developing expenditure budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to enable business outcomes. Strong attention to detail with advanced Excel and Word skills;
What We Offer

The salary range for the position is between $72K to $90K. The role is a full-time permanent position.
