About the Role

We are seeking a talented Product Manager to join our team at Wilmar Ingredients, focusing on our sweetener and functional food portfolios. Reporting to the Industrial Sales Manager, this role will play a crucial part in leading the long-term profitable growth of our sweetener and functional food portfolios.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Sweetener Range and Related Functional Foods: Ensure quality and competitiveness of our sweetener range and related functional foods.
  • Develop and Manage Relationships: Develop and manage relationships with overseas manufacturers, focusing on pricing, specifications, and supplier performance.
  • Manage Key Customer Accounts: Manage key customer accounts to drive business continuity and identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide Market Insights: Provide technical insights and market analysis on competitors and trends.
  • Identify New Product Opportunities: Identify and pursue new product development opportunities within the sweetener portfolio.
  • Implement Business Growth Strategies: Implement strategies to grow the sweetener range and enhance our market position.
  • Monitor Sales Forecasts and Stock Levels: Monitor sales forecasts and stock levels, ensuring uninterrupted supply and addressing quality issues as needed.

About You

This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in the Australian Food & Beverage industry and a strong background in account management. You should have:

  • Tertiary Qualification: A tertiary qualification in Product Management, Account Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in B2B Sales: At least 5 years of B2B sales experience in the Australian Food & Beverage industry.
  • Product Management Experience: Experience in Product Management and Key Account Management.
  • New Product Development Experience: Experience in new product development and market research leading to successful launches.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen, particularly in costings and profitability.

Wilmar Ingredients is managed with our Sugar Australia business. We have a long history of importing key ingredients in the functional food, non-sugar sweeteners, cosmetic ingredients and basic Oleochemicals portfolios. Most of our ingredients are manufactured by Wilmar through our global footprint. Our key customers are food and beverage, complimentary healthcare, personal and home care manufacturers. We have a focus on growth and valuing our customers.
