Principal Naval Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Naval Architect to join our defence team in our Adelaide office. As a key member of our team, you will lead and manage the design, development, and assessment of naval architecture projects.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of naval architects, marine engineers, and designers.
- Design and Development: Oversee the conceptual and detailed design of vessels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Project Oversight: Manage multiple projects from initial design through final delivery, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in naval architecture and marine engineering.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in naval architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Innovative and forward-thinking mindset.
