About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for a skilled Commercial Energy Specialist who can craft commercially robust agreements, lead customer engagement, and unlock new revenue opportunities across our asset base. You will be responsible for maximising value from existing assets through strategic advisory, contract development, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage commercial customer relationships and agreements, ensuring compliance with contestable market regulations
  • Drive growth by originating and executing commercially robust Energy Supply Agreements (or equivalents)
  • Owning the journey from initial opportunity assessment through to customer negotiation and seamless handover to our Major Customer Accounts team
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven expertise in contract management and negotiation
  • Deep knowledge of commercial pricing, financial and technical concepts
  • Experience in business development, bid preparation, and pre-contract activities across multiple workstreams
  • Skilled in drafting and reviewing contracts, scopes of work, and variations to deliver commercially sound outcomes
  • Confident communicator with customer-facing experience and a knack for building strong relationships
  • Solid understanding of the contestable energy market and regulatory frameworks
  • Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in Commerce, Business, Finance, or Law - or equivalent experience in the energy sector
  • Background in mining, resources, or energy industries preferred
