Health and Safety Junior Advisor Job Description

The role of the Health and Safety Junior Advisor is to provide support to senior safety professionals in multiple projects across the organization. This involves contributing to the development and implementation of health and safety management systems, ensuring compliance with key performance indicators, and reporting on training content and contractor requirements.

This position is ideal for a candidate commencing their career in Health and Safety with drive and passion, seeking to excel in their profession and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage contractor compliance, certificates, and accreditations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Review and endorse risk assessments, perform SHEQ evaluations, and coordinate inductions for employees and contractors.
  • Participate in incident investigations, reports, and toolbox meetings to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct site-based inspections and checks of contractor training, competency, and license requirements.
Requirements:
  • Hold qualifications in WHS/OHS (Certificate IV or Diploma) and have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Be able to generate well-presented reports in a timely manner, showcasing your attention to detail and organizational skills.
