ROLE SUMMARY

KBR's National Security Solutions team is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Alice Springs. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and optimizing mechanical systems that support missions for our customers. Your expertise in mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science will allow you to develop innovative solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and test mechanical systems to meet stringent specifications and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that mechanical systems meet client needs and expectations.
  • Develop and implement design solutions that optimize performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Negotiate critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a US or Australian citizen.
  • Must have a US TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance.
  • Must have a minimum of a BA/BS in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Must have a minimum of seven years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Must have a PE-Mechanical license.

This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
