Job Overview

Laverty Pathology is seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join their team in delivering exceptional patient care and customer service. As a key member of the hospital team, you will be responsible for collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients across various wards and departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with doctors, nurses, and patients to understand their needs and requirements
  • Collect samples with care and attention, including difficult bleeds and AGBs
  • Keep meticulous records for every patient and sample
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in Phlebotomy or a nursing background
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Phlebotomy, ideally with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection
  • Excellent liaison and communication skills, with a high level of empathy and a patient-centered approach
  • Organized with high attention to detail
  • Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency or New Zealand citizenship, or a valid visa with permission to work
