About The Role

As our Maintenance Professional, you will be responsible for proactively managing operational and maintenance requirements. This hands-on role operates independently and is integral to ensuring compliance with legislative standards, accreditation requirements, and relevant regulations.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing facility maintenance schedules.
  • Monitoring and managing supplies and spare parts, including procurement.
  • Implementing preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs.
  • Coordinating contractors and supervising minor works and maintenance projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements for essential services.
  • Controlling expenditures within agreed budgets.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Conducting site inspections, inductions, and work permit processes for contractors.
About You

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate:

  • Experience in a Maintenance or Facilities Technician role (hospital experience highly regarded).
  • Relevant trade qualifications and hands-on experience in facilities/building services.
  • A current driver's license (mandatory).
  • A General Construction Safety Card (White/Blue Card).
  • Strong customer service, communication, and computer literacy skills.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing demands.
  • Sound knowledge of WH&S requirements, accreditation/certification processes, and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Familiarity with electrical, fire, mechanical, and hydraulic systems (knowledge of the AUSHFG Guideline desirable).

Remuneration

A base hourly rate of $38.00 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications.
