About the role

This position focuses on ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, maintaining equipment records and tools for repair services.

You will have responsibility for attending to or arranging repairs and maintenance within the school, including furniture and equipment, locks and windows, swimming pools, and school facilities.

  • Provide basic maintenance of equipment specific to schools with students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

School Grounds Maintenance
  • Oversee maintenance of school ovals through regular mowing, watering, and soil maintenance.
  • Lawn and garden maintenance, including regular weeding and the use of appropriate insecticides and fertilisers.
  • Plant, water, and care for trees, shrubs, gardens.
Facilities Maintenance
  • Assist with clearing and hosing of drains and gutters.
  • Collection of waste, food, and paper on school grounds.
  • Undertake immediate action cleaning duties outside normal operating hours.
  • Coordinate removal and disposal of rubbish as required.
