Schools Facilities Officer

Overview:

This is a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Brisbane Central State School.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Schools Facilities Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering high-quality facilities management services.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the maintenance of facilities, including buildings, environment and classroom spaces.
  • Manage the receipt, storage and distribution of school supplies and stocks.
  • Support a variety of security duties at the school, including banking of school funds.
  • Assist with clearing and hosing of drains and gutters, collection of waste, food and paper on school grounds.
  • Undertake immediate action cleaning duties outside normal operating hours.
  • Coordinate removal and/or disposal of rubbish as required.

Requirements:

  • Current Queensland Government employee status.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
