Senior Care Specialist Position

This is a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing environment, providing direct care and support to residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and mobility. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive and safe environment, ensuring the residential setting is clean, organized, and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and mobility.
  • Ensure the residential setting is clean, organized, and secure.
  • Monitor residents' physical and emotional health, reporting any concerns promptly.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and professionals.
  • Manage challenging behaviors using de-escalation techniques and positive strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of observations, incidents, and progress.
  • Liaise with residents, families, external agencies, and staff for comprehensive care.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (highly regarded).
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience in disability or aged care support roles.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders (highly regarded).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Police Check.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
