Job Title: Financial Reporting, Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Officer to join our team at 1588 State Street Services Australia Pty Limited. As a key member of our financial reporting team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing the financial reporting workflow of one or more client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and related working papers to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of financial statements and related regulatory filings for each client relationship.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to complex issues and queries, and escalating as needed to meet required deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate risk issues, breaches, and act in accordance with the 'risk' escalation chain and operating procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including regulatory client service teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and new industry developments to ensure compliance and quality control.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in accounting (CA/CPA/CFA) or Bachelor degree with relevant experience in a financial reporting or financial services environment.
  • At least 7+ years of experience in a financial reporting or financial services environment, with 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Solid experience in statutory reporting and applications of accounting standards in accordance with IFRS and GAAP.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills, with a proven track record of efficiency creation, staff development, and people management.
