Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and oversee the generation of financial reports, including monthly reports with variance analysis, daily bank reconciliations, and cash flow projections.
- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Support the Director of Finance in achieving financial objectives, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- General Ledger Management: Manage month-end tasks such as journal entries and General Ledger reconciliations, as well as annual processes like financial audits and tax returns.
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register and prepare monthly capital expense reports.
- Compliance and Reporting: Maintain records for compliance and reporting purposes, including BAS, FBT, STAT Returns, and grant reconciliations.
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a comparable role (education experience preferred).
- Skills: Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy involving numeric data and data entry. Excellent computer literacy, including spreadsheets, data entry, and knowledge of MS Office Software to an advanced level.
- Additional Requirements: Experience in Synergetic would be advantageous. Time management skills and ability to complete tasks within strict deadlines. Ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team.
