About this role

Delivering 4 Customers (D4 C) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join their team in the Southern Region. As a key member of the D4 C consortium, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in the water project program of works across the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Support Construction Leads to ensure allocated projects are delivered to scope within time, cost, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Set daily, weekly, and long-term project programs to achieve required project outputs with plant, labour, materials, and resources.
  • Monitor and review costs, invoices, and claims for allocated projects.
  • Contribute to the constructability of a project with respect to design development.
  • Undertake tender evaluation and award of subcontract procurement packages.
  • Monitor the quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material against drawings and specifications and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary as per Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
  • Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of self-perform workforce and subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
  • Liaise and coordinate with all external parties and relevant statutory authorities and manage their attendance on site as necessary.
  • Contribute to and foster a good safety, quality, environment, and community culture with a view to deliver differently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent.
  • 8+ year's engineering experience.
  • Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning, and legislative requirements is desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
  • Client relationship and stakeholder management experience is desirable.
  • Highly competent with MS Office.
  • Driver's licence.
  • White card.
