New Product Development Senior Specialist

This role is a pivotal part of our New Product Development squad, reporting directly to the Chapter lead.

As a Senior Specialist, you will support the Product Owner in shaping our product offerings, enhancing customer experience, and driving business growth.

You will play a critical role in shaping our spend and usage strategy and proposition, collaborating with the squad to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive portfolio growth, and ensure safe execution of changes and risk outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product development: Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and concept development to launch, ensuring products meet market demands.

2. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, compliance, technology, and distribution to ensure seamless product delivery.

3. Risk management: Proactively manage risks, including performance of regular controls, robust product governance, identification of issues, escalation, and swift resolution of issues, including remediation.

4. Customer experience: Continuously improve the customer experience by reviewing and enhancing product features, benefits, and digital experience.

5. Compliance: Ensure our products comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and assist with regulatory responses.

6. Performance analysis: Analyze product performance, KPIs, and customer complaints to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.

7. Product strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of the NPD strategy from solution development through to delivery.

8. Market research and analytics: Identify trends, customer preferences, regulations, and competitive landscape to inform product development.

Requirements:

1. Sound ability to drive outcomes and execute on a roadmap of initiatives.

2. Sound communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.

3. Proven problem-solving skills coupled with a strong ability to innovate and think differently about strategies to grow the portfolio.

4. Experience in delivering strong outcomes in an Agile environment.

5. Ability to think analytically and use data and insights to make decisions.

6. Sound commercial acumen.

7. Strong retail product knowledge is preferred, experience managing banking products highly regarded.

8. Tertiary qualification in a Business/Commerce degree preferred.
