Job Overview:

We are seeking a diligent and versatile operative to join our team in delivering exceptional municipal services.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and upgrading works throughout the municipality.
  • Ensure Woollahra's footpaths and streetscapes remain well-maintained.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to attend to designated retail and commercial areas.

About You:

  • Be willing to work collaboratively and adapt to diverse cleaning and labouring duties.
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Proven ability to take on new challenges and contribute to team success.

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to perform functions such as concreting, paving, painting, sweeping, and waste collection.
  • Developed interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working cooperatively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work according to established policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles.
  • Current HR Driver's Licence or willingness to obtain within three months.
  • WHS construction induction (White Card).
  • Availability to work across a 14-day roster, including weekends.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Traffic Control Licence (Blue Ticket).
  • Experience in civil works construction.
  • Driving mechanical street sweepers experience.
