Job Description:

Manage a Dynamic Poultry Farm

Cheema Farms is seeking an experienced and dynamic farm manager to oversee the operations of one of our poultry farms. The farm comprises 2 facilities with 10 sheds, housing a total of 400,000 birds.

  • Lead a team by setting clear expectations and overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure the care and feeding of the birds, including animal welfare and husbandry.
  • Monitor and manage ventilation systems, as well as maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining up-to-date records of production, inventory, and farm activities.
  • Performing general repairs and maintenance, and operating machinery as needed.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven experience in poultry management and comprehensive understanding of poultry husbandry.
  • Full Australian Work Rights.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of animal welfare standards, biosecurity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in record-keeping and data analysis.

Benefits:

Generous salary of $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation. A company vehicle for work use and a well-maintained 7 bedroom house.
