Communication Professional Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for current APS staff members to take on a new challenge as a skilled and experienced communication professional. As a Communication Account Manager, you will lead a small team in delivering integrated communication plans and strategies that support the Government's priorities and objectives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective communication solutions for various policy and program areas, working closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Manage communication resources, ensuring the quality and timeliness of communication products and outcomes.
  • Maintain positive and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, anticipating and responding to their communication needs and expectations.
  • Lead and support a team of communication professionals, fostering a collaborative and respectful work culture.

This role requires a high level of initiative and judgement, with the ability to research and make decisions based on sound evidence, expertise and knowledge.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write, edit and proof-read clear and engaging communication material for various audiences and channels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt communication solutions to suit different contexts and target audiences.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing, preferably in the Government or private sector.
