Job Description:
  • Provide efficient and effective routine Speech Pathology services under the direction of the Director of Clinical Operations.
  • Function and participate in multidisciplinary teams within the hospital, collaborating with colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated base level knowledge, expertise and skills in managing adult and paediatric speech pathology cases.

Communication: The ability to work effectively as a member of a health care team, demonstrating high level communication skills, flexibility and a co-operative approach.

Operational Management: Demonstrated ability to self manage a caseload, prioritising referrals and achieving non-clinical workload requirements.

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to provide guidance to support staff and clinical education to students, promoting professional development and growth.

Quality Improvement: Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and participation in quality improvement activities.

Required Qualifications: Mandatory possession of a qualification as a Speech Pathologist from a registered tertiary institution and current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
