Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Educator to join our team as the Coordinator of Southern Cross OSHC at our Woody Point campus.

This permanent, full-time role involves overseeing the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, and educational program for up to 59 children.

As Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, including staffing, administration, and financial management tasks.

Additionally, you will provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment, working collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Child Care legislation, including the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place.

They will also possess effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management software.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, and educational program
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the service, including staffing, administration, and financial management tasks
  • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission, and Values
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
  • Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor of the service
  • A strong understanding of Child Care legislation, including the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place
  • Previous experience in childcare service management
  • Effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management software
  • Proven leadership skills to develop a team of staff
