About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join our industrial team in the Victorian Division Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and advocating cases before tribunals, providing high-level technical support, and leading Enterprise Bargaining negotiations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and advocating cases before Fair Work Australia and other tribunals.
  • Providing industrial advice to members, branches, and the division on industrial matters and disputes.
  • Negotiating workplace grievances/issues and industrial disputes with management.
  • Providing high-level technical support and leading major Enterprise Bargaining negotiations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial relations, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to the trade union movement.

A law degree and legal experience are highly regarded but not essential. The successful candidate will also have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
