The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the college grounds and gardens, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing and safe for users. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaboration with the property manager to develop and implement garden designs and budgets.">
  • Weeding, pruning, mulching, watering, and other tasks required to maintain gardens.">
  • Installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.">
  • Ensuring facilities and grounds are physically safe and compliant with regulations.">

Key Qualifications:

  • ">
  • A teaching qualification with current VIT registration is desirable.">
  • A certificate or diploma in Horticulture or Landscape Management is preferred, or relevant experience and advanced knowledge in garden management practices.">
  • Knowledge of appropriate use and handling of chemicals, herbicides, and pesticides.">
  • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors.">
  • A Victorian Drivers Licence is essential.">
  • A machinery licence or ability to operate mowers is also required.">
