Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at the Ulverstone facility, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical support to our large-scale production operations and working closely with other trades to maintain site plant and equipment. With a strong focus on safety and quality, you will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of competency in the electrical field.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with maintenance, preventative, and breakdown electrical tasks throughout the intake, process, and packing departments at the facility
- Ensure site plant and equipment is maintained according to the maintenance schedule while maintaining safety and maximizing production requirements
- PLC, automation, and electrically controlled systems fault finding, programming, and connections
- Work with robotic packaging equipment
- Collaborate with other on-site trades (mechanical fitters + contractors) to ensure work orders are completed to a high standard
- Participate in continual improvement processes
- Apply operational standards and procedures
- Possess a 100% commitment to safety in the workplace
- Hold a current Tasmanian Electrical licence (mandatory)
- Availability during the week Monday-Friday (07:00-15:30)
- Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with fixed plant electrical works
- Experience in safety & quality systems and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret schematics (advantageous)
- Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated maintenance experience within an FMCG industry plant (highly desirable but not essential)
- Possess a high level of both written and verbal communication skills in addition to time management skills
- Intermediate user of Windows-based systems and CMMS experience
- Ability to work proactively whilst unsupervised whilst also being able to contribute to a team environment

Ranging from $46.77 per hour (base rate) + overtime opportunities (where applicable), this position offers a competitive salary package.
