Simplot is a leading provider of quality food products, committed to feeding the world. We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our high-performing maintenance team at our Ulverstone facility in Australia.

Established in 1943, our plant has undergone significant transformations, from supplying dehydrated vegetables during WWII to becoming a potato processing facility by the late 1980s. Today, we continue to innovate and expand our operations, producing a range of frozen, shelf-stable, and chilled products for major retail and foodservice customers.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to provide electrical support to our large-scale production operations. As part of our maintenance team, you will work on various days across a Monday-to-Friday roster (07:00-15:30). The successful candidate will assist with maintenance, preventative, and breakdown electrical tasks throughout our intake, process, and packing departments.

• Assist with electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.
• Maintain site plant and equipment according to maintenance schedules, prioritizing safety and maximizing production requirements.
• Fault-find, program, and connect PLC, automation, and electrically controlled systems.
• Work with robotic packaging equipment and collaborate with other trades and contractors to achieve high-quality results.

• A current Tasmanian Electrical license is mandatory.
• Proven diagnostic, fault-finding, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with fixed plant electrical works, including experience in FMCG industry plants.
• Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work proactively while unsupervised.
