Our RoleAn exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Industrial Fitter to join our high-performing maintenance team at our Ulverstone facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Area Manager, you'll provide mechanical support to our large-scale production operations, working on a variety of days across Monday to Friday (07:00-15:30).
What You Will Do- You'll participate in site safety activities and ensure that plant and equipment, including food preparation, cutting equipment, and packaging machinery, are maintained according to schedules.
- Assist with preventative, predictive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance activities, working collaboratively with electricians and contractors to achieve job objectives.
- Contribute to continual improvement processes, utilizing automated equipment and software such as MEX (CMMS) and Windows-based systems.
- Support annual site shutdown maintenance activities and maintain accurate records.
- You hold a current Cert III Engineering (Mechanical) qualification and possess excellent safety commitment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Awareness of pneumatics and hydraulics is advantageous, while experience within an FMCG industry plant will be highly regarded.
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability, combined with time management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, will also be essential.
