Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned retail professional to lead a high-performing portfolio of stores across Melbourne. This full-time leadership role is suited to an individual with strong commercial acumen and the ability to inspire senior store leaders.

The Role

As Retail Portfolio Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing store operations, performance, and visual standards to drive profitable growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will mentor, coach, and drive your team while also supporting new store openings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, setting management expectations and driving performance
  • Coach and develop senior store managers, building succession capability
  • Manage key financial metrics (with conversion a primary focus) to drive growth
  • Partner with stakeholders across head office, distribution, and merchandise teams
  • Support stores hands-on, ensuring operational and visual standards are consistently met
  • Lead visual set-up of all new store openings

About You

We are looking for an individual with 3-5+ years' experience in retail leadership within a high-turnover retail environment. A background in fashion or department store retail is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong team performance management skills with proven success coaching senior managers
  • A highly commercial mindset - using VM and data-driven decisions to impact sales
  • A track record in driving and exceeding KPIs, especially conversion
  • Comfortable working hands-on in-store to support and drive outcomes
  • Excellent problem solving, decision making, and communication skills
