Instrument Technician Role

The Central Sterilising Services team is seeking a highly skilled Instrument Technician to play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

This position involves the provision of all aspects in the sterilising process, adhering to AS 5369 guidelines and Peninsula Health policies. As a member of the team, you will be expected to become multi-skilled and capable of working in all areas of the department or unit under the direction of a Grade 5 or above.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reprocess and sterilise surgical equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Adhere to AS 5369 guidelines and policies
  • Provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • A Certificate III in Sterilisation
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to undertake direction and training
  • Commitment to achieving best practice
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
