About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Diabetes team at Medtronic Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing omnichannel marketing activities for our Diabetes portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and review corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific products or product lines.
  • Conduct competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience.
  • Develop production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity.
  • Determine the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements.
  • Align advertising strategies with core brand equity.
  • Develop and deliver effective sales tools, training, and marketing collateral in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Provide strategic input and support for sales presentations and negotiations.
  • Direct digital marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns, email marketing, and online advertising in collaboration with our marketing communications team.
  • Use data analytics to measure and optimize digital marketing efforts.
  • Work closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle.
  • Work with other functions to finalize product specifications.
  • Serve as a technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in product management and marketing, within the medical device, healthcare, or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and market penetration strategies.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for improving patient outcomes.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers (both internal and external) at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support marketing activities and customer engagements.
