Electrical Systems Technician

The role involves installing, diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults on mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and testing of electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Upgrade electrical systems to meet specifications.
  • Document all work performed including detailed handovers and parts usage.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Automotive Electrotechnology (Australian recognised).
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar or similar brand surface mining equipment.
  • Experience with Auto Electrical fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Highly organised with ability to adapt to changing workloads.

This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of equipment including Off-Highway Trucks (OHTs), Dozers, Graders, Drills and some auxiliary equipment.

Maintaining safe work practices and environments is paramount.

Excellent documentation and communication skills are required.
